"FOUNDED BY BRENT & SARA AS A PLACE TO SHARE INSPIRATION, HUMOR AND ADVENTURE FROM THEIR TRAVELS AND TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO SEE THE WORLD."
"We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The property is gorgeous and so serene. We enjoyed the hike to the lake where we swam and canoed in the clean waters. The cabin was cozy and we felt so relaxed after our stay. Zac n Steph were great hosts and so responsive. Looking forward to our next stay!" Sarah
"Zac N Steph's cabin was the perfect winter getaway for 4-even in -30 degrees! We spent our days exploring the trails (by foot and snowshoe) with the maps provided by Zac and Steph, then returned back to the cabin to warm up. It was cozy, clean, and had everything you need-nice and simple. Hoping to come back in the summer to experience the area in a different season!" Jessica
"This is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax in privacy. Zac & Steph are great hosts - they really want you to have a great visit. Cabin is new & spotless with comfy queen bunk beds, propane fireplace and beautiful views over Golden Lake. Outside there is a firepit, gas barbecue, and picnic table. The property has over 30 kms of beautiful hiking trails. This is an awesome place for nature lovers. Already planning next visit." Terry and Rona
"Zac N Steph's Escarpment is by far, one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at! It truly is fully private and offers a great escape from the city and an amazingly huge area to explore! It really feels like its been untouched and wandering through the various trails will reward you with visits from little chipmunks and the chirping of birds and the whistling of the trees in the wind.
The cabin itself was super comfortable and provides everything you need. There's a barbecue that will allow you to grill food, a wonderfully comfortable bed, binoculars to go bird watching, and a table to do some work. Best of all, it feels like a pioneer log cabin in the woods, providing a comfortable feeling of isolation from all your troubles and stress! The highlight was seeing the night sky in full glory!" Edwin
"Zac and Steph's entire property is incredible-there are tons of trails to hike with great views, and an essentially private, calm lake with canoe use available.
This cabin was spotless when we arrived, equipped with a BBQ, well water for washing, and a few other essentials, otherwise we packed our own gear. We did get the "Couple's Package" so the cabin had wine, chocolates and cabin style bedding awaiting us which was a lovely addition. The view is beautiful and the spacing of the cabins makes for very private, peaceful experience. Zac and Steph were easy to contact, and shuttled our gear up the steep, steep hill. Therefore it's not the place to stay if you're planning to go in and out because you'll have to face the steep slope by foot every time, however doing it once when we went white water rafting for the day (about 40 min away) was tolerable! Overall our stay was wonderful and we'll be back if we're ever in the area again." Kelsey
"This is my second stay at this Deacon Escarpment's Algonquin Wolf Cabin, and it was just as amazing as the first! Zac and Stephanie are amazing hosts; helpful, warm and true nature lovers! Both my stays have been truly enchanting. The cabin has everything for a comfortable sleep: The double bunk beds are comfortable, the gas fireplace keeps the cabin warm and dry, and you wake up to the most amazing view. You are completely isolated, apart from the wildlife:), and have access to many wonderful trails. The BBQ, side burner and kettle/purculator gave us everything we needed to cook ourselves up perfect meals. Fire area is well designed and practical. We knew ahead of time and it is not a deal breaker for us, but the toilet is outside, near the cabin. It is secluded, but in the open. The first time we stayed at the cabin, we hiked up the 1.5km trail to our cabin carrying all our stuff, and it could be a challenge if you are not used to steep hikes with a hefty load on your back! My second time at the cabin I went alone so I took Zac and Steph up on their offer to take me up there on their ATV... When I go back I will likely get them to lug my gear and food up and enjoy the amazing hike load free! I usually never visit the same place twice; the world is way too big and there are way to many places to discover. I chose to return to this cabin this winter because I wanted to experience it's peaceful, beautiful and comfortable qualities. It's a sure bet, and within 2 hours from Ottawa!" Sohpie
Reviews: SARAH LESLEY CABIN
"Stayed over Easter and had an excellent weekend. Scenery is amazing, with views off the Deacon escarpment. Great nature trails on the property with quite a few deer. Cabin is warm and spacious, with a new stove and fully fitted (quality) kitchen including pots, pans, oil, salt, pepper. Good location for day trips (Algonquin national park and small surrounding towns). We chose to hike up to the cabin, and would recommend for those who don't have many bags. Extremely fast and helpful responses." Daniel
"Zac 'n Steph are amazing hosts! Cabin was awesome.. *love* the fact that it's completely solar powered! Amazing BBQ setup. Everything you need! Great privacy. Highly recommended!" David
